Don't expect to board the first L train to Manhattan.

I'm a technology wonk specializing in designing and implementing user interfaces. I've done this for at least a decade at a variety of major technology and financial services firms. Prior to this I spent some time as a researcher in academia. I'm employed full-time, but I do consulting work on occasion when it's enjoyable and remunerative enough.

I took this photo a few blocks away from my apartment in Williamsburg. And it's true, rush hour trains have become so crowded in this increasingly popular neighborhood that 90% of the time I can't get on the first or second train. Despite this, I immensely prefer my current 10 minute train commute to the two hour commute I had on the highway while working in the Bay Area.
